Well I thought that was a great idea and as I was doing it I put some liver in as well. The next day the water was all bubbly and they were whizzing round and round in circles. I think the liver had fermented and they were drunk. I cleaned them out and gave them some fresh water (lost a few down the plughole) and eventually four turned into frogs. Even two of those died by drowning in the water. I;d even put sloping stones in so they could get out. It was all very traumatic.
Not that I want to put you off!!!Jackiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12998628507844056717noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4645014314539406825.post-23172964421206373822012-03-22T13:18:57.998-07:002012-03-22T13:18:57.998-07:00Lovely to see you taking good care of your tadpole...Lovely to see you taking good care of your tadpoles. They are so cute and I haven't seen any for ages. Ponds and cats don't go well together! I think gardening and baking are both creative activities and you should make the most of the good weather anyway.Maggihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04479533794674357334noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4645014314539406825.post-80154661756918458932012-03-22T11:17:12.967-07:002012-03-22T11:17:12.967-07:00How lovely to have tadpoles, we used to get them t...How lovely to have tadpoles, we used to get them too in our garden pond and the little frogs were brilliant, so dinky.
I love your pics of poppy she looks such a character.sharon younghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11227806755585216350noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4645014314539406825.post-65715543734250283812012-03-22T10:58:41.038-07:002012-03-22T10:58:41.038-07:00That is a very thoughtful thing to do and I hope t...That is a very thoughtful thing to do and I hope that you get a lot of froglets.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4645014314539406825.post-41951662014280760282012-03-22T04:18:22.377-07:002012-03-22T04:18:22.377-07:00I'd love to have a pond with taddies and frogs...I'd love to have a pond with taddies and frogs. We have loads of spawn but no taddies yet. I'm glad you're ok, it suddenly struck me that I hadn't noticed you for a few days so I'm glad you're just busy. I hope you're getting some good Spring weather, it's been lovely here in Lincolnshire today. Oops!
