Two and Four-legged visitors.

It was a treat to see this young woodpecker and a parent bird on the birdtable the other day. I apologise for the rather misty photo but had to take it through the kitchen window and in great haste before they flew off.

The visitor above arrived by arrangement complete with her own bedding and toys. She is always welcome and is great company.

The furry fox was regularly 'killed' and well chewed ...............

................ and thoroughly shaken ....................

.................. and even worn around the neck incase the evenings turned chilly.

I was going to add more pics, but having had no Internet connection since Saturday and then been interrupted half way through this post with a message saying that the webpage cannot be displayed, I've been frightened off and I'm making this short and sweet.

Have a good weekend.

I am envious of your bird visitors, I get nothing as exotic as that here.

I hope your computer remains well.

It's exactly the same here Heather, no internet connection for a short time, then it's back on again and it's very frustrating.
I love your visitor! I remember my GM having a fox fur around her neck too :)You are also very lucky to have the woodpeckers so cose to the house. We had some close to our old house.

How interesting to see a young woodpecker :-) Your small visitor is very sweet. I love the fox fur! I hope you resolve your internet problems. since we've gone over to Virgin I have difficulty using my laptop wirelessly. It's a real pain.

Your woodpeckers look very entertaining Heather! Your other visitor looks very much at home too! Lovely photos - hope your broadband gets well soon.

Came to your blog via Weaver's comments about the grasses --we used to collect them all the time too.
What a sweet dog. I'm afraid when our pup has 'killed' his stuffed toys they are mere tatters and fluff all over the place!

Jack Russells are cheerful little dogs aren't they Heather - the trouble is they always have large areas of white hair and their hair comes off!

Envious of the woodpecker! We just get pigeons, blackbirds and squirrels fighting over the food we put out :-/
The fox scarf made me laugh... :-)
