That lovable mad Irish poet Totalfeckineejit, is having a virtual grand gala and has invited us all to arrive in red cars. We are asked to post a poem on our blogs to announce our arrival and we must be there by Friday, so here goes:-

Oh heck! I'm sure I'm going to be late
and I'll never catch the ferry.
There are miles to drive to a handy port
and I've been at the cooking sherry!
If I borrow my son-in-law's fire engine
and turn the siren on
I'll be sure of a clear run straight to the coast
and no-one will notice I've gone.
I'm off to the bash of the century
with the finest refreshments by far
and I'll be the one with the biggest,
loudest, shiniest, reddest RED CAR!!

That made me LAUGH Heather, thank you!
What a wonderful poem, love the bit about the cooking sherry, sometimes I can relate to that!
This is great fun! I'll be looking for your car!
Love it Heather - still giggling at the thought of you driving the fire engine.
It's all lies!! I'm not even brave enough to drive a car any more - however, in a fire engine I'd be able to plough through anything that got in my way, so look out!!
You'll have to go a ways to beat my RED Porsche 9-11!!
Loved the poem (especially the bit about the cooking sherry).

Absolutely wonderful!!!
What a gem! Laughed out loud, loved the port and then sherry lines, and the culmination of "est"s leading to RED CAR|
Heather! Loved the whole port, sherry thing you had going on. Very funny thanks!
I love it Heather - it would make fantastic Rap! The champagne was good wasn't it - and the company too?
Great poem Heather! Have fun at the party ;o)
That's brilliant, Heather and it did make me laugh too. I'm sure you'll be a big hit!
