I've had a lovely time today with the embellisher but sadly have loaded the pictures the wrong way round. You were supposed to see these last, but never mind. I had moved on from embellished knitting to using fabrics and above is chiffon over woollen blanket with silk tops embellished on top. I added the lumpy bits by hand as the embellisher didn't like them.
This one is silk tops straight onto woollen blanket - I knew I'd find a use for it one day! I can see possibilities for both these samples with added machine and hand stitching, and maybe found objects too.
This is my first attempt with silk tops onto embellished knitting. It now needs some hand or machine stitching - possibly a bit of both.
This sample is also ready for some stitching.
This is an example of what not to do! I think I have been too heavy handed with the silk tops here - lesson learned.
Here I have embellished over split silk carrier rods stitched onto handmade paper. I worked rows of hand stitching and then added individual lumpy bits. It has come out very pink and green in this pic but in reality is yellow and orange! I made several other experimental samples but didn't want to bore you by posting them all.

Don't worry Heather I can't 'read' handwriting although yours does reveal a woman who is very good with the emebellisher.

You will love that embellisher - I just noticed Dale is doing her Embellisher class online soon - you might find it useful. This handwriting game has been a great introduction to new blogs....like your handwriting too!
Looking good Heather. Have you tried adding some angelina mixed in with your silk tops-just a little- it makes lovely twinkles and of course binds some of the looser threads together when ironed.
Your handwriting looks very neat and tidy Heather. Lovely samples on your embellisher... you are obviously really enjoying it.
Heather, you will never bore me with any of your embroidery projects - they are fantastic and give me all kinds of ideas! You have really got the bit between your teeth with that embellisher, haven't you?

Gorgeous samples Heather. I bet you have no regrets at purchasing the machine. If your handwriting has deteriorated it must have been very beautiful before.

Wasn't this fun? Your handwriting is rather beautiful to look at - it's not surprising it was put up on the wall at school.

Oooh lucky you to have an embellisher! I'm trying hard not to be jealous....
As for the handwriting...as an ex-teacher I would give it 10/10 and a gold star!
