Look!

Every year I get a thrill when I see the snowdrops and other bulbs pushing up through the soil and dead leaves.    Sorry this photo is rather blurred - I hope it doesn't make your eyes go funny as you look at it.   I was having camera shake in my efforts to take them with the long lens as the ground is so wet and I didn't want to leave the pave area to get closer.  These in the front garden have a long way to go before flowering.

But then I looked up the garden at the back of the house and caught sight of these.   Since taking these pictures I've spotted a little clump of tiny cyclamen too.

I wonder if I ought to cover the rhubarb to protect it if we get the wintry conditions that seem to be on their way.
There is so much that needs doing in the garden but the soil is far too wet to work on so I'll be a fair weather gardener and stay indoors,  making my plans in the warm as I look through the window.

hooray Heather. Wasn't it flippin cold this morning. My windows were stuck and wouldn't wind down when I went out at 0730 this morning. I expect you were tucked up in bed!

It's so lovely to see the garden coming back to life again. Spring won't be too far away.

How fabulous to see the brave little snowdrops coming through already, and your rhubarb looks very healthy. My DH has managed a little bit of digging but it's still very wet.

I read about rhubarb emerging early Heather and went to look at ours - no sign yet, but snowdrops are out and also winter aconite. Wonderful.

Spring seems to be too early .We have had primroses out since December and I noticed a rosebud this week .I hope they won't be dashed by the weather.

It's lovely to see the bulbs pushing through isn't it? I have quite a few snowdrops flowering along with other occasional little blooms on primulas, pulmonarias etc.

Lol......just got your reply Heather :-D
I think it was actually along the lines of 'tell my mum to get my dinner now, she's spent too long on this blooming computer'.
