Now for the tricky bit.

Here are the final pages for my book, in a rather raw state although the decorative bit is finished.
I feel I want to put them under the carpet and walk on them for a few weeks to get rid of all the wrinkles and creases.   I have pressed them carefully with an iron and it seems to make little difference.
I am considering cutting them from their current background fabric and mounting them on fresh material.
Some pages are worse than others - it would be nice for them to look alike.
I usually have trouble in ending up with pages of similar measurements - no matter how carefully I measure and cut - so the next stage will be very traumatic as they need to be exactly the same in order to be placed back to back.   I hope the next time you see them they will be looking far neater and bound into a cover.  I may be gone for some time!

Under the mattress for a fortnight?
Actually Heather, it is difficult to see creases in your pages - they look absolutely beautiful to me. Can't wait to see the finished book.

They look fab Heather . I don't know that the creases are actually a problem. Once the book is all together it will probably add to the character and texture of the whole.

Thankyou for your encouraging comments everyone. I think I am resolving the problem - we'll see!

They look great as they are Heather, but if they bother you I don't know if ironing them onto fabric stiffener would help. I too often end up with different sized pages and overcome it by just stitching binding around the edges.

I agree with all the commenters, I don't think you need to worry about the creases at all, it's part of the character of the book, I really love your birds illustrations.
I do understand how you feel about bringing it all together though, I'm the same on a project, I love the build up but hate the finishing.

I have managed to see your beautiful pages Heather, and I agree with everyone else - they have character! Sometimes I think we are too critical of our own work to see it as others do.Cheers

Your pages are fantastic Heather, look forward to see how you put it all together. I found that bit quite difficult.
