For the past few days I have been laying siege to my workroom and trying to reorganise it. The contents of every shelf, cupboard, box and bag have been tipped out and drastically edited. The floor keeps disappearing and re-appearing as work progresses but the worktops are still invisible.
I am hoping that it will encourage a new phase of creativity but I might like the look of a tidy room so much I won't want to spoil it!
The bed in the spare room is covered in bags of stuff for the charity shop and the recycling bins are full. I am exhausted and still have the work surfaces to clear but the end is in sight, thank goodness.
Strange things are happening this spring. We still have celandines and daffodils in flower and buds on the acquilegias!
A family of crows must have a nest nearby and various members visit the garden. They like to pick up a piece of bread and drop it into the bird bath before eating it. One of them was making such a raucous racket this morning, almost drowning out the songbirds.
There's just time to tidy up one more untidy heap before starting to cook supper. Enjoy the rest of the weekend.

I've been doing something similar but I don't think I had quite as many things as you. It is hard work but I'm sure I'll feel better for it.
Your Crab Apple looks so pretty. Do enjoy the weekend.
sunshine does tend to send us all into tidy up mode. Yours is tidier than mine though...
what a huge stash you must have had Heather. it does feel good to clear out though. isn't the weather fantabulous!
It must be contagious, I'm going through the same process myself, only mines just beginning, the light at the end of the tunnel is only a distant glimmer.
Wow! You certainly have been busy with your grand sort out, I love all your neat storage boxes, it all looks very organised.
I noticed this strange spring bursting out of everything, it almost seems to have all come out this weekend.
I was saying exactly the same thing to the other half yesterday - three weeks ago the garden was barren, today everything seems to have decided to come out at once. Well done with the tidying - just done something similar and it makes you feel so much better.
I think you should give yourself a gold star for all that tidying. Hope you enjoy another fabulous day, so unusual for a UK bank holiday.
You're an inspiration - and I desperately need one. My room is a tip and I waste hours looking for stuff! I tell myself I'm waiting for a wet day and then when one comes I find lots of other much more interesting things to do....
I am - and always have been - a great tidier. I just cannot work in a state of untidiness. The trouble is that as you get older, clearing out workrooms is so exhausting and I agree you need a sit down by that lovely tree in blossom to recover Heather.
What a wonderfully tidy room you now have. My problem is that I can't seem to create in the middle of tidiness and promptly get everything in a muddle again almost immediately - but it is lovely to look at for a short while! I am so glad you are having glorious weather. Thanks for your lovely comments on my blog. Cheers.
Well done! I'm very impressed with your system! Having labels and some kind of storage system makes it so much easier, doesn't it. I get so frustrated if the thing I know I have is hiding ... and it's my own fault!
There is a depressing stage where the mess is worse than at the beginning - well done for getting past that!
New Follower..Gosh I can identifty with all this clearing.I've just done this too.Gee it feels fabulous doesn't it?
Instead of doing loads of hobbies, I am narrowing my focus, and loads went!
We are in the start of Winter here..it's not even Spring!!
LOVE those tidy boxes.
Doesn't it feel good when you've had a sort-out?! I'm due to have one soon....thanks for inspiring me to get a move on:-)
You're right about the mix of flowers we have around at the moment....a couple of weeks ago we saw snowdrops in Charnwood Forest - in April!!!
