Where does the time go? I can't believe how long the gaps between my posts have become just lately.
As you can see I have been busy making more pages for my fabric book. I'm not sure what the gentleman on the left in the above photo is doing, but it looks rather dangerous to me.
And I wonder if this one has toothache, poor chap.
Now I must pluck up the courage to make the cover and bind the pages into it.
After a very doubtful start to today, it has turned into a lovely autumn day. We are hoping to go to Westonbirt Arboretum tomorrow, weather permitting - I would like to take some photos of the glorious colours at this time of year. Fingers crossed.

Love the book Heather. Love Westonbirt too - it is years since I have been. The colours should be wonderful.
This looks like it'll be a great book. Those are very Lewisy chessmen by the look of them: I once saw them back in their rightful home: they were on display in the Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides wayyyy back in 1995 or so. They had a chess tournament on too just to celebrate. If you think these ones have interesting expressions, what about the ones who are biting their shields? They must be hungry indeed.
I hope you get a good day for your visit to Westonbirt tomorrow. I love to see all the autumnal colours. The trees here have been changing colour very quickly. You can see the difference in a day.

These are lovely little figures - quaint and quirky and so accepting of their lot.
Enjoy Westonbirt. We often go as we live not far away. It's wonderful at this time of year (if rather muddy after all the recent rain) and I'd say the colours are warming up nicely.

I know just what you mean about time passing! There's something really attractive about these medieval images - I really like the one who looks as though he has toothache:) It will be a lovely book when it's done.
